About Miho

Miho was brought up in Kyoto Japan, lives in Rehovot, Israel.

In 1994, after graduating Kyoto City University of Arts, began learning Bharata Natyam in Kyoto. Inspired by this profound philosophical and religious art form, continued her studies in Chennai - India, trained under gurus like Devila Rani, Indira Kadambi, Srikanth Natarajan.

     

Miho's keen concern of the relationship between dance and religion brought her to complete her Master’s degree in Religious Study in Tel-Aviv University, conducted research in the esoteric Buddhist rituals and the Medieval Japanese performing arts. In parallel, Miho is practising Martial Arts such as Aikido and Kalaripayattu with her concern of relationship between dance and martial arts.

    

Miho gives performances, lecture demonstrations and teaches Bharatanatyam in Israel. 

Miho is also engaged in Japanese style pottery.
